Mexican Pizza (Taco Bell Copycat) is crunchy, cheesy, and incredibly delicious. It's layered with crunchy tortillas, ground beef, refried beans and topped with taco sauce, cheese, tomatoes, and green onions. The perfectly crunchy tortillas are the secret ingredient.
In a skillet over medium-high heat, add 1 teaspoon of oil, heat the oil for a minute, then add ground beef. After a few minutes add garlic powder, paprika, salt, cumin, chili powder, and oregano. Cook the ground beef until its completely browned and cooked. Drain fat if you need to.
Add 1/4 cup of oil to a skillet, let the oil get hot, carefully fry the uncooked flour tortillas until light brown. Be careful not to get burn, hot oil can splash. They will be lightly brown and crispy.
Remove the tortillas to a plate lined with a paper towel.
Place the baking sheet in the preheated oven for about five minutes or until the cheese has melted.
For the taco sauce you can choose the degree of heat you prefer, they have mild, medium, or hot.
