Buffalo Chicken Sliders

Buffalo Chicken Sliders are everything you expect from buffalo wings, but in a delicious Hawaiian roll. The spiciness from the buffalo sauce, creaminess from the blue cheese dressing, and the crunchiness from the celery slaw, all combine to get the perfect bite. You can feed a crowd and they are super easy to make. They come together in no time, and you can spend the rest of the time enjoying a game or favorite show.

As we start the football season all we can think of is delicious game food. There are so many delicious appetizers we can enjoy. One crowd favorite are buffalo wings. These sliders offer the flavors of buffalo wings, but are more filling, they are a meal.

To make these delicious buffalo chicken sliders, you will need a store-bought chicken, these chickens are so versatile, you can use them to make so many different types of recipes. They are also a great shortcut when there is not a lot of time to make a meal. For those days when time is limited, store-bought chickens are the way to go.

For the buffalo sauce, I use Frank’s Red-Hot Wings sauce mild. I like to buy the mild flavor, since buffalo sauce can sometimes be too spicy. But you can use your favorite brand.

How to make buffalo chicken sliders

First make the celery slaw by combining the thinly sliced celery, chopped parsley, thinly sliced green onions, lemon juice, and the crumbled blue cheese. Salt to taste. Toss until well combined and refrigerate.

Next, in a medium size pan, under medium high heat, add the butter. Once melted add the buffalo sauce and stir until well combined. Then add the shredded chicken and coat the chicken with the sauce. Once the chicken is heated through, about 2-3 minutes, remove from the heat and place the chicken and sauce in a bowl.

To assemble, cut the Hawaiian rolls in half through the middle. Remove the top part and set aside. With thongs transfer the chicken evenly to the bottom half of the rolls, then spoon the celery slaw over the chicken. Then spoon over the blue cheese dressing evenly on top of the celery slaw. Finally, place the top half of the rolls. And voila! You have some delicious Buffalo Chicken Sliders.
